Jail sentence a "death sentence" for Derryn Hinch
Cancer stricken shock jock Derryn Hinch is facing court for a contempt of court charge. His doctor is maintaining that any jail-time would be tantamount to death sentence, as it's likely Hinch may only have two months to live if a transplant organ is not found.
Professor Robert Jones, Hinch's surgeon, says that were Hinch in jail, and not immediately contactable, the small window in which a transplant is viable would easily close, dooming Hinch.
Hinch is in court for naming two paedophiles on the steps of parliament in 2008.
