RIP Jimmy Little

Jimmy Little has passed away. He was 75-years-old.

The Aboriginal country singer passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Dubbo, New South Wales.

James Oswald ‘Jimmy' Little was one of our most treasured artists and a real gentleman of Australian music.

Best known for his outstanding contribution and work in country music, Jimmy broke into the mainstream in 1999 with the Messenger album. The ARIA-award-winning album featured covers of some of Australia's best known artists including Paul Kelly and Nick Cave.

More recently, he was awarded the 2010 APRA Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to the Music Industry.
